Laura Glick Meyer

Laura Glick Meyer is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #161857) supervised by Dr. Shannon Daneshrad (PSY34383). Laura is also a former family lawyer and mediator who has experience working with both collaborative and high-conflict divorces, including custody disputes and co-parenting issues. Through a grounded real-world perspective informed by years of diverse experiences, Laura has a passion for supporting diverse individuals (including children, teens and adults), couples, and families through issues that relate to self-concept, interpersonal relationships, development and life transitions. Specific areas of interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, relational challenges, premarital counseling, separation, divorce, co-parenting, cohabitation, fertility/infertility, post-partum struggles, bereavement, aging, ADHD, workplace issues and challenges related to chronic illness and disability. 

Through a psychodynamic and culturally-informed lens, with a focus on understanding the root cause of challenges that clients are experiencing, Laura believes that each client has unique needs and utilizes a tailored integrative approach to interventions that she believes will help to facilitate the change and guidance clients are looking for.  

Laura received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College, Columbia University, her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Laura values the therapeutic relationship as a place where clients can feel safe, heard and supported.
