Dr. Chloe Kim is a Registered Psychological Associate (PSB94026722) supervised by Dr. Shannon Daneshrad. Dr. Kim offers services to children, teens, and adults for both psychotherapy and psychological testing/assessment. She has practiced in a variety of settings, including private schools, public high schools, community mental health clinics, university counseling centers, and group practices.
Dr. Kim is committed to her clients’ growth and healing by understanding the deeper meaning and cause of issues. She uses a collaborative and holistic approach in helping clients take steps toward their goals and making lasting changes in their lives. She also focuses on the impact of one’s intersecting identities (race/ethnicity, class, religion, sexuality, etc.) that create an individual’s unique experience in life. Dr. Kim is skilled in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, Autism, bipolar disorders, relational issues, life transitions, and identity formation (spiritual, sexual, professional identity). As a first generation Korean American, she also enjoys working with cultural issues such as acculturation, generational gaps, and racial trauma.
Dr. Kim is passionate about accurate and careful diagnosing of disorders, especially differentiating specific disorders from trauma or mood disorders (i.e., anxiety, depression). With a clear and proper diagnosis, practical support, resources, and recommendations are provided for clients to thrive. Dr. Kim is trained in testing individuals of all ages for ADHD, ASD, learning disorders, and personality disorders.
Dr. Kim earned her Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology. She welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and strives to create a safe space for clients to feel heard, seen, known, and understood.
